The Evolution of FSA Recovery: Launching Our Third Zambia-Based Clinical Study

Exploring an affirmation-based approach to repair the physiological and psycho-emotional impact of the family ‘Blame-Storm’.

To my Community,

I have some powerful news to share. We have officially initiated a third clinical study in partnership with Doctoral Research Scholar Kartheek Balapala focusing on a group of survivors who are often silenced: Zambian women experiencing Postpartum Depression (PPD) and the insidious “invisible” systemic phenomenon I named Family Scapegoating Abuse (FSA).

Many of these women aren’t just struggling with sadness—they are experiencing Orthostatic Hypotension (OH), which is a clinical way of saying they suffer from extreme dizziness and fainting spells when they stand up.

Why does this matter to YOU, no matter where you live?

For years, many of you have been told that the symptoms of being a scapegoat—the exhaustion, the “brain fog,” the physical aches and pains—are “all in your head.” You may even have been told you are “too sensitive,” “faking it,” or “weak.”

Our most recent (2nd) quantitative study proved just the opposite. By measuring heart rates and blood pressure in relation to being scapegoated by family, we demonstrated that FSA is a physiological assault. When you are caught in what I call the “Blame-Storm”—where your family pelts you with projections and lies—your body reacts as if it is under physical attack. Your nervous system then tries to protect you from the “inclement weather” created by your own relatives. You can read our second FSA study findings here: https://oapub.org/hlt/index.php/EJPHS/article/view/232/232

What we are testing in this third quantitative FSA study: Our intention is to use 10 of my original, rhythmic FSA affirmations that are designed to act like a “biological shield.” We want to see if speaking these truths can actually lower blood pressure and steady the dizzy spells in these women with PPD. We are testing if we can move a mother out of the “blame-storm” and back into the sanctuary of her own skin.

The Ultimate Value for All FSA Survivors: Every time we gather data like this, we add another brick to the wall of clinical “proof” regarding FSA’s detrimental effects on child victims and adult survivors. It also does the following:

  • It validates that your “Exit” from a scapegoating family system isn’t a betrayal—it’s frequently not only a psycho-emotional necessity, but a medical necessity as well.
  • It suggests that your healing creates “Systemic Immunity,” ensuring that the “blame-storm” doesn’t pass down to the next generation.
  • It turns our collective “whispers” as survivors of this poorly understood form of systemic psycho-emotional abuse into a scientific shout that the medical and mental health communities cannot ignore. Note: Our first two quantitative FSA studies were accepted and published in peer-reviewed medical and public health journals in both Europe and Asia.

When we help struggling new mother’s to heal, we create a sanctuary for their child. And when we prove it works in the “trenches” of PPD, we prove it can work for every one of us who suffers from the devastating effects of FSA.

Stay tuned as we move forward. The “Exit” is more than a move—it’s a recovery of your very soul.

In Wholeness,

Rebecca
